Just noticed the Oct. 26 show with Shuyler – on Mark Davis’ myspace site, he’s listing himself on that bill. It would be great to see those two Old Reliable guys together. Can you confirm this for me? Thanks!

Mark, Leigh and Jeff (Tod and Tom) S’tie, I’m happy to say that the Madafakaz got their act together and is ready to Surf up The Outaouais. I invite you to listen to what we do on my space – it should bring you far beyon the ocean waves and back in a flash. We would be thrilled to entertain your tenants when you’ll be ready to surf up your kaffe. We even have stage names in Snake (Manu), Claw (Fred Martineau), Phang (Phil) and RJ (Fred St-Aubin). Let the Madafakaz prepare an unforgetable evening in Wakefield. Rock on gang.
Peace /Manu or Snake

Mark, you rock! Kaffé 1870 rocks! What a pleasure to meet the only Fiftyman I hadn’t yet met, and to play your fine establishment. See you in October, if not sooner. In the meantime, photos from the night are on the Bloomistry Flickr site – http://www.flickr.com/photos/bloomistry. All the best! -Wayne (aka Bloomistry).

It’s actually “the band whose name is a symbol” not “A band…” …in any event….we have our third vinyl LP released soon called “Biker Smell” (within weeks)as well as a live CD for our March 6th gig at the Kaffe. We will play 3 sets of music and the 2nd and 3rd set will feature Wil and Dave of Castor, Eric ex-Tricky Woo and Starvin’ hungry and Jason From cold Cofee & Salty Boots…..our 8 piece version will render you senseless….it’s a $5.00 cover so hope to see you there……

Hello Mark,

We are Oh My Darling, four of Manitoba’s most outstanding female
musicians. Our style is an appealing mixture french & english of
funk, country/bluegrass roots music. We are as much at home pouring
out their emotions in a folksy ballad as they are while romping
through a hoedown.
Nat Myles, Owner of Elmdale House Tavern, recommended you to us.

We are planning a cross canada tour to launch and promote their 2nd new
album in 2010.

Looking to book a gig at your venue on April 8th 2010. Would this interest you at all?

We were also just nominated for BEST ROOTS ALBUM in 2009. Were
currently working in the studio on our album with renowned producer
Lloyd Peterson (JD Edwards, Wailing Jenny’s, James Keelaghan).

Sound, video samples and additional bio and support information is
available at

Would love to add your venue to our touring schedual.
Thanks for your time and support. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Merci et au plaisir!
